Hi, I’m Lori. I am a first time walker in the 2010 Atlanta 3-Day and team captain of Brock 360. My team is made up of my aunts, cousins and friends. We started our team to walk in memory of my mom, Peggy Brock.
My mom died in 2000 after a three and a half year battle with breast cancer. She was 45 years young. I said from the time my mom was diagnosed that I wanted to get involved with Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Nine years after my mom’s death I finally decided to take the first step. I participated in the 2009 Race for the Cure.
I loved participating in Race for the Cure but I wanted to do something bigger to honor my mom. That’s why I signed up for the 3-Day. And I’m so glad I did!
Throughout the year I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people through training walks, 3-Day events and of course, Twitter! The 3-Day community ROCKS and I am proud to be part of it!
