I have been busily updating the 3 Day Tweeps site this evening and I just wanted to note a few things:
1) A few of the Tweeps have recently either changed their primary Twitter username or added an additional Twitter account specifically for their 3 Day activities. If you have changed your Twitter handle or would prefer to have a different account listed here on the site, PLEASE resubmit your information through the “Join the Tweeps” form. Otherwise, we might delete your page here thinking you have decided to stop using Twitter.
(Sidenote: @go4pink (Lori) and @MrsClutterBrain (Christine), you are both up to date with your new Twitter names!)
2) If you are already a 3 Day Tweep and have only recently registered for your 2011 events (or have decided to register for additional events), please let us know through the “Join the Tweeps” form. Likewise, if you haven’t decided which events you will be taking part in for 2011, please bookmark the form so that you can let us know once you do decide. We want to make sure that our “Meet the Tweeps” page is fully up to date with ALL of the events that our Tweeps are walking or crewing in.
3) In case you missed it, there are now Team Twitter teams set up for the 3 Day events in San Francisco, Seattle and Atlanta that are welcoming new members! If you are interested in being part of one of our Team Twitter teams along with your fellow Tweeps, please visit the “Walk with the Tweeps in 2011” link at the top of the page for more information.
4) On a related note, I know that we have also formed (and are recruiting members for) a Team Twitter team for the Atlanta Race for the Cure in early May. If you have a Twitter-centric team that is looking for members for Race for the Cure, Relay for Life or other similar events, please feel free to share the details as a blog post on the main page here on the site. Be sure to tag your post with the city, event name and “Team Twitter” so that we can find your events more easily.
Please note that the primary blog on this website is not the place to promote your personal fundraisers. But we love our 3 Day Tweeps meet ups and we can’t think of a better place to get together than at local breast cancer advocacy events!
And I think that’s it for tonight. The 2011 3 Day season is definitely in full swing – expect big things from the Tweeps in the coming weeks and months!
